The 17th Annual Cessna Flyer & Piper Flyer Gathering at Waupaca

The 17th Annual Cessna Flyer & Piper Flyer Gathering at Waupaca

Seminars, Camaraderie, Food, Fun, and a Bus Ride to AirVenture!

For nearly two decades, Cessna Flyer and Piper Flyer Association members have made a pilgrimage to Waupaca, Wisconsin the weekend before EAA AirVenture begins in nearby Oshkosh. They come to gather with fellow members, CFA and PFA staff, and notables from various aviation companies, to share a love of aviation. The weekend includes opportunities to learn more about Cessna and Piper systems and operations. It also includes a good dose of just plain fun, with meals, social time, and a door prize drawing.

Folks who come in for AirVenture are discovering what CFA and PFA members have known for more than a decade: Waupaca is a great place to fly into, and a great place to stay.

You don’t know how much I enjoy reading the Cessna Flyer magazine. I even show them to my mechanic so he will stay up with all the current issues. They have been extremely helpful.

Again, Thank You for your help.

To Mr. Dellenbusch,

I wanted to let you know that I received the Cessna Flyer with the Cardinal article. Thank you so very much for locating and forwarding the magazine to me. I greatly appreciate it and have already read the magazine.

I had a ‘68 Cessna Cardinal for 4 years, and then I moved to the Piper Arrow, but I missed the Cardinal so much that I am selling the Arrow and now going back to the Cardinal. Have rejoined CFO and now looking for the next airplane.

You don’t know how much I enjoy reading Cessna Flyer. I even show them to my mechanic so he will stay up with all the current issues. They have been extremely helpful.

Again, thank you for your help.

Keep up the good work.

The Gathering at Waupaca

I had a great time with everyone. Looking forward to next year. You and Kent did a fantastic job!

Jeff

Kudos to Kent, Jennifer, and Heather for another terrific hosting of the Cessna/Piper gathering at the Waupaca Comfort Suites Foxfire Inn.  This is one of the best kept secrets of the entire Oshkosh experience. Only 40 miles from Oshkosh, with their own airport in town that is a $3 cab ride to the resort hotel on a golf course, and with a very good restaurant next door, makes it a very enjoyable stay.   The inclusive price also gets an air conditioned motor coach round trip ride to KOSH for two days.   At a room rate that the CPA negotiated, I doubt if there is another hotel within 50 miles of KOSH that will match that price.   Meeting some very good aviation folks at the Saturday night cocktail party and attending the seminars Sunday were tops, as well as the dinner that evening.    There were some very knowledgeable speakers from their respective companies.  Some of the prizes won in the drawings were quite valuable, and everyone attending won something.  Hope to see you all again next year .... and some newcomers, too. It's fun.

Gale Cawley, Coloma, Mi.
