The wingtip units and the newer tailcone units are interesting, but to this date, they are for experimentals. uAvionix has been waiting for the FAA authorization for a long time. Additionally, Garmin just sued uAvionix for patent infringement.

Be careful. I was an early adopter of NavWorx and my unit still works flawlessly, but after a FAA vendetta forced the bankruptcy of NavWorx, I have an orphan.

I looking into the Uavionix sky Beacon, has anyone else installed it in your airplane? It is an easy self installation on the wingtip and costs less
than $2000. No shop required. No panel mods, no new transponder, 2020 Compliant ADS-B solution. I am very excited about this option and would
love to hear from someone who is now using it. Paul R www.uavionix.com/products/skybeacon
