Yes, there are 3 point options. Aircraft Spruce and Specialty (www.aircraftspruce.com) has a 3 point harness available.
As does Alpha Aviation (alphaaviation.com/cessna-100-series-fixed-strap-stc-kit/)
It looks like the Alpha kit has an inertia reel which is probably most like the system in your car.

thank you Jose! Yes they are made in my home state as well. I’m sure that is the right way to go but I still wanted to explore the shoulder (similar to automobile) option. Thoughts?

Welcome and congratulations for your new to you 182. The absolutely best seat belts for the 182 are the BAS. Installation is not difficult. The attachment points are already in your airplane. I have them in the front seats.

I am a new 182G owner. I’d like to put in three point seat belts but heard attaching the shoulder harness to the frame is difficult as there is no good spot to do it. Is this true? Any recommendations on products?
