I see where Texas Air Salvage has one listed for $35. It's their item number 29129.
I typed "Continental o-470 dipstick tube" into Google.

Does the lengthened dipstick guide have to be fixed securely some way?

So not just where it's attached to the engine? It looks as though it might needs some clip at the top?
