Hi, Hartzell does have a Top Prop that is approved to replace the McCauley that came on your airplane.
Here is a link to more information: hartzellprop.com//products/top-prop/cess...tr182-82-diameter-2/ .
This is an improvement over the McCauley design and according to Hartzell will provide a performance boost.
I have a Hartzell compact hub propeller on my airplane and it's worked well.

I recently purchased a 1981 R182, The propeller started to leak so it was sent in for overhaul, the bad news is that it was corroded and out of tolerance for overhaul, now i am faced with a propller purchase. Does anyone have any advice about propellers for the RG, I had a 3 blade Mccauley but am looking at a hartzell. want to stick with a 3 bladed, any thoughts would be appreciated
