I believe that instrument is a Rochester EG2615-06021 FF/EGT gauge.

I also believe that the sensor data is fed through a Garmin GAE 71 Engine/Airframe unit.

If the connections on the sensor to wiring and the gauge to wiring have been proven, the next step it to check the wiring at the GAE 71, a Garmin Engine/Airframe Unit.

I do not yet have a wiring manual for that airplane so I can’t confirm the belief that the GAE 71 is the interface between the sensor and the gauge.

I will try to get more information for you tomorrow.

The fuel flow gauge on our 1998 172R has been intermittent and now only indicates flow until rotation on take off. Checked connectors at both the gauge and transducer. I have not found anyone that can test either component.
