February 2019 Survey Question: Do you fly with a carbon monoxide detector? was created by CFA Staff
Our February 2019 e-Newsletter asked the following question:
Do you fly with a carbon monoxide detector?
The following are the rankings of the results:
1. Yes. 72%
2. No. 28%
Here are the additional comments:
• I use one from Home Depot as A&P recommends. It’s much more sensitive.
• Only a colormetric card indicator in winter. I Usually don't even use the heater in Texas.
• I have a detector in 3 out of 4 aircraft.
• No, but I ponder. Maybe I should be.
• Especially nice in the winter when we have the cabin heat on.
• Used to, but the unit died and I haven't replaced it yet.
