On August 4, 2014, Horry County Department of Airport (HCDA) will commence its $18.0 M runway 18/36 rehabilitation project at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). HCDA kindly asks for your assistance in helping us spread the word to your members and audience.

Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), serving Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a popular stopping point for private aircraft owners traveling up and down the coast and accessing the Grand Strand. It is our goal to have as little impact on operations (and vacation plans) as possible, but as MYR is a single runway airport and closures are required (see the below schedule). The MYR team will issue NOTAMS, etc. but we are attempting to communicate closures with as large of an audiences as possible. The objective is to get the word out!

In order to complete this work, yet keep the runway open during peak operating hours Horry County Department of Airports in conjunction with its airline partners has developed a Runway Closure Schedule.
